Draft pending legal review — describes current data practices but is not yet a final, counsel-approved policy.
T1D Daily Checklist (“we”, “the app”) is a tool for parents and guardians to organize the daily care routine of a school-age child with type 1 diabetes. This policy explains what we collect and why. The app is directed to parents and guardians, not to children.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Care data you enter: your child’s first name, care routines, checklist items, schedule windows, and hardware (site/sensor) tracking.
- Child device access: when you generate an invite link, we create a limited, revocable device session token so your child’s device can view and check off the shared checklist. It does not grant access to your account.
- Push notifications: if you enable reminders, we store the browser push subscription needed to deliver them.
How we use it
Solely to provide the service: syncing the checklist between you and your child’s device, sending the reminders you enable, and keeping your history. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Where it lives
Data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and served from our application hosting. We retain your data while your account is active; you can request deletion at any time via Contact.
Children’s privacy
Information about a child is entered and controlled by the parent or guardian who owns the account. Child device sessions are limited to viewing and completing the shared checklist and can be revoked at any time. We are evaluating applicable requirements (including COPPA and GDPR-K); this section will be finalized with counsel.
